After the actual graduation, we took a few photos. I wanted to get
a few more, but you know 12 year old boys! He did not want any other shots. I was lucky to wear a great pink and purple kimono with cute little babies on the bottom.

Graduation for Noah Boy!

6th grade graduation was yesterday! 3-19-2009 is a spring time graduation, but here in Japan that is the time!
Pictured is the hall full of student music boxes. Noah made the
one on the end.
The kids will wear the uniform that they need for 7th grade to this 6th grade graduation day. Noah is a handsome dude!
The teacher wearing reddish kimono is doing something- not sure if the boys were unruley or what, but she is there! The princ. is the lady in black kimono and short hair- new this year!

Missed winter shots

We had a bunch of missed shots during the holiday,
and were caught up with ballet the day after Christmas. Here are a few of the days that were fun!
Our tree was simple because baby still likes to take it apart! Jas had a friend over too.
I could not tell you how much snow we had! I think everyday though. As you can see, the ice does melt- therefore icicles.
WE tried to do a shot of our family in the mountain, but there was so much snow, and we did not have a tripod. the photographer was out of the photo. Jas did well for Lycee Danse. After getting home that evening, we were tired, but we had a photo with dad!

What do you think about having to buy 2 cakes?

Birthday cake in Japan is first of all expensive, and second of all small! Had to buy 2 cakes to
feed the party! Gold dust too!

What a surprise! A package from America!
Wonderful friends!

Today is Valentine's Day- What a big one for me - Cannot say though!
We relaxed at the freezing cold ocean! We had fun though. It was neat to see no grass or shrubs. Simply rock! The water was beautiful- I can't wait till summer!

Kuji City- about an hour from us

Visiting Father Thoma at the Kuji Church is always
nice. Kids always get into something, and always go
home with something.
Aworker is helping baby get a treat. Here is a photo
of father too.
We drove through Karumai too. This particular time
was parade- celebration time. Look at the neat hanging
tanabata. They represent things you are hoping for.

Morioka Sansa August-Sept.

This is a neat parade for the town. Lots of
company workers, businesses, and groups
participate each year. The outfits are very
traditional usually, and the music is very
old.
Women do their hair up nowadays, and poof
it with colored sparkle spray. Often the guys get drunk along the way, or afterwards. Temps
are usually very warm.
One man was holding his child and another guy
was watching the parade but got into his view- words were flying.
We have not posted in a long------ time. We are trying to start again tonight, so we are going back into our collection.

Ocean day

Lots of fun yet again! The beach was loaded with shells. The kids dug up sand and showed baby
things he did not know existed! I have my hands full again today! Notice Noah is gagging himself!
I guess he does not want to eat what they are
selling!

We found our disc!

Talk about happy! We lost our camera/disc and
looked everywhere! Finally- the pocket that was
checked 5 or 6 times!
Here the climbers had fun in Hachinohe near the
ocean. I was shocked when I saw how high they
climbed.
Also, the pic of the group of boys- they had fun meeting and playing with Noah's friend Alex!

Sumo still

I just had to put more in from today at Chuo Elementary. Sumo was fun for all of the kids;even the handful who did cry! Actually, several did! The boys are watching the others in the ring (dohyou). Noah boy is the fluffy-haired one. He forgot to bring along his guitar for intermission! Noah does not want ANYONE to see him! Notice the tie, and how it is folded.

Fun Sumo if you enjoy being tied up

What a day we had at sumo! My first time to actually be there. Alex even had a chance to be part of the group. We got a bunch of shots! Baby made new friends too! I am sure it is a culture shock to see all Japanese kids wearing mawashi! Kids actually cannot go to the bathroom. At least our kid did not attempt! Noah looks a bit shy to show his bod though. He
keeps everything under wraps!
