Candy Store Rock

Here Noah and dad are enjoying Ginza in Tokyo on the 30th. This restaurant is owned by this bartender who is Katsuya's broth-in-law. Strange name Candystorerock. Noah skipped school everyone!

Happy Halloween!

It feels a bit lonely not having any candy to eat, so we made the most of it and went to a party given by Oasis (Elvis and Mariko)
They have an English school in Morioka, and of course for the holiday they celebrated ! We all enjoyed. Thanks Elvis!

Aloha from Hawaii! Vol.2

Shake shake shake your coconuts. The outfits were coconuts, grass, and in this photo, you can see other costumes.

Aloha from Hawaii! Vol.1

No not really!Actually 6 hours from our place though. We did have a good time on the water slides too. Baby did not enter the water except for a few toe dips. I know that he was wondering what it was though. For 6 mo. old he looks old in this shot! The performances were really good. They had hoola dancers and fire baton men!

summer in America

Although our trip was only a short one, one of our fun things was going to a parks get together where all of the parks in Appleton give the kids a chance to do interesting things. Here we have scientific findings. Oh wait , it is just a fire being made by Noah. Jasmine is learning too.

School concert

Here today the kids had what we call happiyokai. It means concert. They had lots of music in English, which was a first. I could understand it too! The concert was held on Sat. am, so next Monday they will have a free day off. Tomorrow is Sunday, Katsuya made reservations for a place near Tokyo called Fukushima. It is a 6 hour drive. Also, Mia posed with a cat dressed as a baby!

Our recipe

What does Mia need her mom for? I think she needs me to think of weird ideas for her not so healthy ramen noodles. For a contest she needs to make a recipe using a bag of instant ramen noodles. We pulled it off!

This little guy looks happy. What is the recipe?Lots of love from us!

Cross and Noah's big day!

Here we are a couple of weeks before returning to Japan. Noah was lucky to make his first Holy Communion. Father Bob did his ceremony. Noah liked him. We also had Cross baptised! I am glad we were able to do it! He just smiled at everyone. The people in church laughed.
Mom and dad were the Godparents for Cross. Joseph was the name we chose. The day was beautifully hot!!!

A beautiful day in Numakunai

What a sunny day to enjoy before the temps get too cool! We stopped at a couple of places an hour away from our home. The moment after taking the first photo with baby and I, a car across the road from us smashed 2 times. Ouch! The middle photo is a home built on a curve in a very old neighborhood. Notice where people enter from the front. We have steps in America, in Japan it is simply dirt. The house is a beautiful building though. Kat is guessing that it is about 100 years old. Next, today was the day to burn garden garbage. We could see so many rice farmers out today hanging and drying the rice stalk bunches. They are hung on these bar supports made of bamboo sticks.

Look we found

This is a Japanese Samurai spider. Noah told us. We did not know. We had a dentist appointment in Zaimoku-cho today. Sheri lived in this area 12 years ago before we got married. Zaimoku-cho is a neat little area known for all the neat little shops and neat scenery. We also sat near a beautiful river Kitakami.

New shoes

HI. What do you think of the cluncky shoes? They are what all babies are wearing these days! We are on our way to Morioka City.

Back in America!

These are from summer when we went back to show everyone baby Cross. Dorothy is great-grandma and Jo-ann is grandma. Age 83, 64, and 3 mo. What a great picture!

Our other is a picture of the new bouncy chair. It even vibrates. Mia is cute too.
